Sport Brighton is now recruiting Casual Recreation Assistants. Our Recreation Assistants assist the full-time staff in making sure all the departments’ services, objectives and goals are fulfilled. This includes a variety of duties such as lifeguarding poolside, front of house services, cleaning, and set up/down equipment. Successful candidates will be the face of the organisation, so we are looking for candidates that display a high level of professionalism along with excellent customer service skills.
About us
Sport Brighton is the University of Brighton’s sport service provider. Services range from the provision of facilities for general use such as gym, classes, and open swimming as well as the delivery of our sporting programmes. The University of Brighton currently has over 45 student sports clubs and enters over 40 teams in the British Universities and Colleges Sport (BUCS) leagues.
Benefits and support
All Sport Brighton staff receive free membership of the facilities which includes use of the peak gym, access to classes, and open swimming sessions.
Successful candidates will be supported by the operations team on an ongoing basis with training provided monthly by the team.

If you don’t hold an NPLQ qualification we are still open to applications providing you are available to attend the NPLQ course we have running from Monday 16th December – Friday 20th December 2024.
