Rugby UNIon Activator

Location: 

Brighton - Falmer 

Pay: 

Grade 3, £13.45ph

Proposed working hours: This role is expected to work 10 hours a week with the following base schedule. 

Wednesdays 11am-5pm (around BUCS fixtures) plus 4 hours for administration/promotion time on campus with us, working around your university or work schedule. 

 

Purpose of the role

The Rugby UNIon Activator position is a role developed in conjunction with The Rugby Football Union (RFU). It is a part-time role, open to recent University of Brighton graduates and current students. This is a role for someone who is looking to develop a career in sport development and or rugby.    

  

This role is part-time, on a casual contract, working 10 hours a week for 30 weeks of the year. The position will provide direct and relevant experience, enabling you to utilise the skills and knowledge you will have gained on your undergraduate degree course. The role would focus on the creation and administration of a ‘Campus League’ offer for both the men's and women's game. This would involve working closely with Panthers Club Committees, recruiting and developing volunteer referees and recruiting student players into the programme. The role would also benefit from a gym membership and Panthers Sports Club Membership.

 

In order to be successful in this role you will have:

  • Experience of developing projects, events, programme promotion, and methods to evaluate impact and effectiveness

  • Good communication skills to liaise with University students, on campus sports clubs, and local sporting organisations.

  • Experience of supporting, motivating and leading volunteers 

 

Thisrole is a casual contract, expecting to work 10 hours a week September-May.

University Tennis Activator

Proposed working hours: This role is expected to work 10 hours a week with the following base schedule.

Mondays 5-630pm, Wednesday afternoon/early evening (around BUCS fixtures), Saturdays 1-5pm and any remaining hours for administration/promotion time on campus with us, working around university or work schedule. 

 

Purpose of the role

The Tennis Development Intern position is a role developed in conjunction with The Lawn Tennis Association (LTA). It is a part-time role, open to recent University of Brighton graduates and current students. This is a role for someone who is looking to develop a career in sport development and or tennis.  

 

This role is part-time, on a casual contract, working 10 hours a week for 30 weeks of the year. This role will focus on delivery of our Panthers Play Session and development of a ‘Tennis Campus League’. The position will provide direct and relevant experience, enabling you to utilise the skills and knowledge you will have gained on your undergraduate degree course. Working in a project-based way, with clearly defined outcomes you will be provided with developmental opportunities, supporting you as you work towards gaining additional sector specific qualifications. The role would also benefit from a gym membership and Panthers Sports Club Membership.
