Sport Brighton are currently recruiting for some part time positions to support our performance sport programme at the University of Brighton in 2026-27. This is an excellent opportunity to work with a variety of performance athletes. Details of these positions are below.

 

Strength and Conditioning

 

Sport Brighton are looking for UKSCA qualified strength and conditioning personnel to support the performance growth of our university student athletes, high performance partners clubs and professional organisations.

 

Delivery requirements:

  • UKSCA qualified strength and conditioning coach

  • Experience of delivering a performance enhancing programme for aspirational and elite athletes from a range of individual and team sports

  • A track record of planning, programming, athlete testing and monitoring progress against goals

  • Experience of adapting athletic programmes to support athlete rehabilitation

  • Desirable: Ability to support and develop a student workforce, inclusive of professional development workshops, deployment and practical observations

  • Delivery schedule to be negotiated to suit our student athletes, targeting a Sept 2026 start date. Estimated at 15 hours per week Oct-Apr and 8 hours per week May – Sept.

  • £25 per hour if self-employed, negotiable pending experience

 
 
 

Physiotherapist

 

Sport Brighton are looking for qualified physiotherapist to support our university student athletes, high performance partners clubs and professional organisations.

 

Delivery requirements:

  • Be a Health and Care Professionals Council Registered Physiotherapist

  • Have three years experience of a previous Musculoskeletal (MSK) physiotherapy role

  • Be an enthusiastic practitioner with a passion for developing future physiotherapists

  • Be comfortable working in a team environment, collaborating with other support practitioners to provide a high-class package of support for University of Brighton student athletes

  • Experience of adapting athletic programmes to support athlete rehabilitation

  • Desirable: Ability to support and develop a student workforce, inclusive of professional development workshops, deployment and practical observations

  • Delivery schedule to be negotiated to suit our student athletes, targeting a Sept 2026 start date. Estimated at 12 hours per week Oct-Apr and 4 hours per week May – Sept.

  • £25 per hour if self-employed, negotiable pending experience
