Have you ever wanted to try surfing? UBSC is a good-vibes-only, social and fun-loving club that welcomes surfers of all levels - complete beginners, intermediates, and those with more experience. UBSC won the Philanthropy Award at the 2018 Sports Awards and continue our participation in Surfers Against Sewage's beach cleaning events, as well as organising charity events.
The club travels abroad twice each academic year to different surf spots across Europe and Africa for a week of surf.
Term-time the club holds wet sessions in Brighton where you can choose to paddle-board or go kayaking. On Thursday evenings the club gathers for socials and nights out; a great opportunity to make new friends. Add us on Instagram and Facebook for updates.
Note: UBSC has surfboards that experienced surfers can rent.
Type: Meet ups, trips and competitions
Details: We meet, go on trips including surf lessons for those starting out.
