Sport Brighton is the collaboration of sport and recreation services at the University of Brighton. This includes student (SportsFed) clubs, sport & fitness facilities, gym memberships, performance scholarships and social sport & physical activity opportunities (Parklife).

Sports Federation Clubs
Whatever your game or level, the university and our Students' Union (Brighton SU) will attempt to find a way for you to enjoy and develop your skills.
From popular team games through to individual pursuits, our clubs provide opportunities for training, competition and fun, run and organised by students for students at subsidised rates, so make sure you make the most out of your time at the University and join a club.
Looking ahead to the 2017-18 year previous league winners Women’s Football 2nd and Futsal 1st teams will be looking to build on their perfomances, Men’s Lacrosse hope to win the Conference Cup for a 3rd year in a row and Sport Brighton Athletes will hope to improve on the 8 BUCS national medals secured.
Watch out also for the new clubs for 2017-18 season; Archery, Softball and Fencing.

Parklife aims to increase student engagement in social sport and physical activity through traditional, dynamic and innovative programmes. Parklife provides students a variety of flexible and affordable participation including ‘turn-up and play’, intra-mural leagues, beginner courses, mini-competitions, club development sessions, calendar-specific events or pop-up activities at various locations across all campuses.
Look out for new additions to the 2017-18 Parklife programme including cycling, watersports, dodgeball league, running groups, ladies basketball and a specific student residence events programme.
Parklife provides a comprehensive volunteer programme which includes both sport-specific and non-sport based roles to allow you to tailor and develop your employability skills whilst at University in a fun and rewarding programme.
The Parklife Student Referee Programme aims to give students the paid opportunity to develop and continue a passion for refereeing whilst at University.
Sport Brighton is looking for those either already FA qualified or interested and committed to secure their qualification to referee within the Parklife 11 a-side Social Football Leagues.

Performance Scholarship Athletes
For the '16/17 year Sport Brighton has been home to a number of scholarship athletes from a range of sports including Rugby, Hockey, Wheelchair Basketball, Cricket, Table Tennis, Gymnastics, Judo, Karate, Power-Lifting, Triathlon, Running, Rifle-Shooting and a range of Athletics disciplines. Our scholars alone have brought home 7 BUCS medals and competed in a number of competitions at the highest level. You can view their profiles here.
Our scholar have access to additional support such as lifestyle planning, discounted physiotherapy and personalised 1-to-1 strength & conditioning. In the new academic year we have an exciting new team of scholars including numerous top 20 ranked track & field athletes, gymnasts, triathletes and cricketers.
