There are many different ways for you to play Football at Brighton. Whether you’re looking to represent the University, develop your skills or simply have fun, get into shape and make new friends, Sport Brighton has something for everyone.

Sports Federation

Our Sports Federation clubs represent the University in the BUCS leagues. Sport Brighton has both women’s and men’s clubs based at either our Eastbourne or Brighton campuses. Matches are played on a Wednesday afternoon with teams selected at try-outs.

Social Football League; 11s & 5s

We run both 5 a-side (Monday or Friday nights) and 11 a-side (Wednesday/ Thursday) intra-mural leagues for students at the University. For those of you not involved in the BUCS team; gather your mates together and enter a team.

If you don’t have enough players for a team let us know and we can put you in touch with others in the same situation.

Register your team early as its first-come, first-served with the deadline of 13/10/17.

  • 5 a-side team entry: £75.00
  • 11 a-side team entry: £300.00
  • 1 season entry option: £200.00
  • Individual player registration (full year): £25/player *contact Sport Brighton to confirm this payment option - Join the waiting list for Sport Brighton to allocate a team for you or use it as the perfect payment option to spread the cost across all team players.

All payment options include costs to cover league administration and match fees.

Turn-Up & Play

These turn-up and play sessions are open to men and women. Bring a ball and your mates to enjoy the use of the facilities for a social kick-around or arrange a small game with others at the open session. Equipment can be supplied, providing a student ID card, from the Sports Centre.

Simply turn-up, pay £1 and play!

Wednesday Hillbrow, Eastbourne 17:00 - 19:00  
Thursday Falmer, Brighton 16:00 - 18:00  
Friday Falmer, Brighton 15:00 - 17:00  
Friday Falmer, Brighton 17:00 - 18:30 *female-only
