England Squash 101 Activator
Parklife, Sport Brighton’s social & recreational sport brand, allows University of Brighton students and staff a variety of flexible and affordable participation and workforce opportunities for a complete university experience.
As part of the Parklife volunteering programme we partner with various national governing bodies of sport to develop a sport-specific activator role tasked with improving the respective sports Parklife offer in the wider programme. Through the partnerships comes an increased amount of support and benefits to the role.
In partnership with England Squash we are looking for students to apply for the Squash 101 Activator role.
Volunteer as a Squash Activator for the Parklife programme to help run the social Parklife Squash sessions which take place weekly at the Virgin Active Leisure Centre, Falmer. By joining the 2017 University Squash programme at the University of Brighton you will receive bespoke training and benefits from England Squash.
- Attend the weekly 'turn-up & play' Parklife Squash session
- Register participants
- Coordinate court allocation and rotation
- Engage and retain participants
- Actively promote Parklife Squash and other Parklife activities
England Squash provide a Squash 101 Activator training course in early October. This course provides you with all the necessary skills to facilitate a social Squash session at your University. You are alos provided with access to the Squash 101 app, competitions toolkit and session plans.
Squash 101 activators benefit from the Parklife volunteering incremental scheme outlined below, with the addition of an England Squash activator t-shirt.
