Multiple success stories for Pitman

University of Brighton Scholarship student and Archer Bryony Pitman has had a recent string of success. She has gone from strength to strength and managed to create a more than impressive season of results thus far.

In March Pitman put in a strong performance at the European indoor championships held in France. She competed in the junior recurve team and as an individual in junior women’s recurve. The junior women’s team managed to secure a bronze medal for Great Britain, while Pitman, in the individual achieved, a Silver overall.

At the end of April the outdoor season begun, starting with the first stage of the Junior European Cup in Greece, after the qualifying round Bryony was in first and managed to finish 5th overall, after the elimination rounds. This puts her first in the current cup rankings.

Pitman was invited to the Conquest cup in turkey (invitational international). She didn’t disappoint and achieved her first senior international podium of the year, finishing in second.

She is set to jet off to Turkey for the second stage of the World Cup, then on to Salt lake city to the third stage. Pitman’s aim is to improve her world ranking to the top 50 (she is currently ranked 88th). Her sights are set high for the season wanting medals at both Junior & Senior World Championships held in Argentina and Mexico.
